  Is there one scripture you like to show JWs and why ?

  2 corinthians 4:4. the wbts like to use 2 corinthians 4:4 frequently.

  however, they invariably never complete the section of verse 4, which states "lest they see the radiance of the glorious gospel of christ" .. i ask them what does this mean to them personally ?, my motivation is to draw their attention to exactly what is been hidden by the god of this system of things.

  the answer is in verse 6 and 7 "yahweh who said let the light shine out of darkness, has also made the light shine in our hearts to radiate and to make known the glory of god as it shines in the face of christ, however we carry this treasure in vessels of clay, so that this all surpassing power may not be seen as ours, but as gods"!

  i think with every year their are more and more newbies that identify with this site , would you like to say " hi ", if you have joined in the last 12 months ?.

  does anybody have a graph of the numbers of newbies who have joined in say the last 5 years ?.

  i think that would be interesting.

  i've been mentally out for about two years now.

  i am in my 30s and i don't live at home, am not married or anything like that.

  i was visiting my mom this past week, i tell you the women has a 6th sense if she weren't a jw shed be a psychic.

  From past experiences in dealing with the elders, they only want to hear the graphic details, while they fantasize that its them, but the plain fact of the truth is; with the examples that Jesus set re: Peter trying to cut off the head of one of the arresting soldiers, then within a few days being forgiven and given the keys of the kingdom. The adultereress in John 8:1-11......Did Jesus want details? He just simply said 'Sin no more'.

  If it was me, I would tell them that you are not going to supply their 'whacking off' material.

  in case you missed it --this years dc pointed out that jw's need to direct people to (direct quote) "our spiritual mother the organization" !!!.

  jehovah being our father and the organization being our spiritual mother!

  i guess we all knew that the society was always "mother" huh..

  Did anyone happen to catch what the C.O actually said? I had to rewind the audio recording 4 times to catch it all....

  Pub: "That's why Jehovah provides us with the organization."

  OMG! This is apostasy!!!! Thyey're saying that no one could understand the bible without the organization or else our generation is just too stupid to do what people have been doing for thousands of years. Doesn't anyone sitting in the audience understand what they are saying or they so completely brain washed that it doesn't get thru!!!

  I really wish some of these JW's would wake up.

  I am a fairly new poster [this being only my 2nd time on this site] I am also known as 'New Dissident" on JWstruggle.

  First I wish to welcome El Guapo to the site and his freedom from the Borg's assimilation. I commend your intestinal fortitute to stand up and admit your human feelings and empathy thru your prayer.

  Second: If anyone has any doubts about the WTS non-caring attitude then all you have to do, is go to their official site at JW.org and look at the small pathetic 'blurp' about the school shooting. OMG! Nothing about the families that did lose someone. I mentioned this to my very 'Borg' mother-in-law and she defended them by saying that maybe they did it in private. I logically stated that wouldn't it be a better 'witness' for the public to see their fellow feelings and sympathy?

  They need a new PR guy.

  All I got was Ummm, well, ummm.......
